the guesthouse is located on the 3rd floor without the elevator!!! one part of the building is facing the river where one can "admire" nightly shows with the loud music until midnight and direct light spots until 2am!!!

The host is just amazing. He loves it to take care of his guests and makes a lot to feel welcom and comfortable. For example he took us to a near island just for fun and didn't expect any money for it. We just had to pay for the public bus and ferry. The rooms are small but clean. You have a big rest area where everybody can sit together and chat or watch tv. The hostel is located just next to the river and only a 5 minutes walk away from Jonker Walk. Last but not least it is cheap so I highly recommend this place!!!

I love the atmosphere in this guesthouse. The spacious living room plus dining room provide a lovely space for the guest to interact with one another. If one doesn’t want to be disturbed, one can sit on the sofa besides the window, overlooking Malacca River! Best part ever. I had bread and coffee which is provided free every morning or late night when shops are closed, added bonus! Thanks En. Ahmad, the owner, he brought me to eat Satay when I mention I wanted to try one :). I had a kite flying session with him and his son too. Wish you success in your business, Ahmad. This guesthouse is suitable for backpacker but not for the local. So, enjoy your stay, traveler.

Our room was fantastic...felt like a backpackers version of a penthouse suite. The walls were windows and we had a fantastic breeze the whole time. The living space had a great communal vibe where guests and staff could hang out together and the staff were very relaxed, it felt like a real home. They were also very helpful with directions e.t.c

This hostel is good, located in the city and easy to get anywhere. The view from my room is the Malacca river, such a nice view especially at night. No mosquitos or bed bugs. The bathrooms are clean. The staffs are friendly and willing to help us to get informations we need. No complaint at all, except for the entrance to the lobby hostel. It's kinda weird, I had to take the stairs up to level 4, and no lift works, but still okay anyway. Really recommended!

i like the followings: a. The view is so nice, b. ppl stay at the guesthouse also nice.
Got so many mosquitos during nigth. May need to use mosquito killer next time. It will b more convenienceal for old ppl to hv lift for travelling from one floor to the other floor.
